This week we’ve talked at length about Sawyer Smith and what he will bring to the table in his first start as Kentucky’s quarterback. Nobody has a better perspective than Barry McKnight.
For the last 18 years, McKnight has been the voice of the Trojans. He saw every single snap Sawyer Smith took last season at Troy. In all of his time as a play-by-play announcer, McKnight has never seen a quarterback spin a bomb better than Smith.
“He throws the best deep-ball of anybody I’ve ever seen,” McKnight told ESPN Louisville’s Andy Sweeney.
