Trey Mullinax has locked up his spot in next week’s Open Championship.
On Sunday evening at Keene Trace golf course in Nicholasville, KY, Mullinax narrowly beat out Kevin Streelman on the 18th hole to secure victory at the 2022 Barbasol Championship. The Birmingham, AL native, who posted a six-under-par (66) on the final day, delivered a clutch birdie putt on 18 to secure the one-stroke win (-25) over Streelman.
The 30-year-old pro has automatically earned a position in the Open Championship, which begins on Thursday, July 14 and runs through Sunday, July 17 at St.
