Kentucky needed an “X” receiver in the worse way. The “X” position is the outside pass catcher and is usually manned by an athlete that is bigger in stature. UK landed an enormous receiver on Monday as former Michigan State Spartan Tre’Von Morgan announced his intentions to transfer to UK. Morgan is listed at 6’6, 220 lbs. on the Spartans official roster.
Rivals and ESPN ranked the Massillon, Ohio product as the No. 1 receiver in Ohio coming out of high school. He recorded 37 receptions for 691 yards and 12 touchdowns as a senior. Morgan also played defense where he racked up 9 tackles including a tackle for loss.
