It was an unforgettable night inside Rupp Arena on Wednesday, with John Pelphrey bringing his Tennessee Tech team in to play on a court under his retired jersey. A native of Paintsville, Pelphrey was one of the original Mountain Mambas, a lifelong Wildcat fan who got to live out his dream playing basketball for the school he loved, and being pretty dang successful in the process.
Fellow Eastern Kentucky basketball star, Trent Noah, showed appreciation for his 606 brother and talked about what it is like to represent an often-forgotten part of the state.
