WEST CHESTER - The latest Division I football recruit from Lakota West will be heading to the Southeastern Conference as three-star (via 247sports.com) defensive back Alex Afari announced his commitment to Kentucky Friday morning on Kentucky Sports Radio.
Afari had recently narrowed his choices down to the Wildcats, Cincinnati Bearcats, Purdue Boilermakers and Indiana Hoosiers and had pinpointed May 7 as his announcement date. He recently joined Firebirds teammates Jyaire Brown and Tegra Tshabola at the Under Armour All-American camp in Columbus.
Brown and Tshabola are both Ohio State commits and are both among the Top 10 recruits in Ohio according to 247sports.
