The road only gets tougher for the struggling Kentucky men’s basketball team.
After falling in back-to-back games at Auburn and Georgia, the Wildcats now have to take on the 10-3 LSU Tigers at Rupp Arena on Saturday, beginning a stretch of five consecutive games against teams with no more than three losses on the year.
Sitting at 4-9 on the year and 3-3 in SEC play, we are well past the point of danger for the Wildcats in their hopes of making the NCAA Tournament as an at-large team. At this point, Kentucky must play near-perfect basketball in the team’s final 12 games of the regular season or win the SEC Tournament for a chance.
