If you went to bed early last night, you missed one heck of a night for the Kentucky basketball program.
Late Thursday evening, 2021 five-star point guard Devin Askew announced his commitment to Kentucky, choosing the Wildcats over Louisville, Memphis, and Arizona, among 16 total scholarship offers.
At the very minimum, Askew’s commitment means Kentucky has its premiere point guard lined up for the 2021-22 season, giving the coaching staff a massive leg up on the recruiting trail. Instead of worrying about who will lead the offense in two years, they will now only have to focus on who to build around the 6-foot-3 guard.
