The 2019 Kentucky Wildcats may not have made it to Omaha, Nebraska for the College World Series but one member of their team did.
After hitting 10 home runs as a junior in 2019 for the Wildcats, Collett participated in the 2019 college home run derby in Omaha Saturday night.
Collett joined Chris Lanzilli of Wake Forrest, Griffin Doersching of Northern Kentucky, Michael Rothenberg of Duke, Quentin Selma of California Berkley and Tyler Keenan of Ole Miss in the annual event.
He became the first Wildcat since Tristan Pompey in 2017 to participate in the derby.
