Three takeaways from Kentucky basketball's win over Missouri in SEC opener

LEXINGTON - Kentucky basketball opened Southeastern Conference play with its third consecutive blowout victory in an 83-56 win over Missouri.

Junior forward Keion Brooks led UK with 17 points. Junior forward Oscar Tshiebwe recorded his 10th double-double in 12 games with 13 points and 20 rebounds. The performance marked Tshiebwe's fourth 20-rebound performance of the season.

They were joined in double figures by freshman guard TyTy Washington (14) and junior point guard Sahvir Wheeler (11). Wheeler added nine assists with just one turnover.

John Calipari has stuck with the same starting lineup in every game that Wheeler, Washington, Grady, Brooks and Tshiebwe were available, but Brooks' hold on his starting spot seemed to be growing more tenuous in recent weeks as Jacob Toppin cut into his minutes.
