LEXINGTON, Ky. – The start of the college basketball season is still four months away, but Kentucky coach John Calipari is already working with his team.
NCAA rules allow coaches up to four hours of on-court work with players per week during the summer, giving Calipari an early look at his squad in advance of a preseason exhibition tour of the Bahamas in August. We’ll learn much more about the 2018-19 Wildcats during that Bahamas trip and the longer practices leading up to it, but the summer workouts can be useful in answering several of the questions surrounding what could be Calipari’s deepest team since 2015.
