Frederick Douglass High School’s Jager Burton is at the top of the recruiting board in Mark Stoops’ office (if the targets are listed from top to bottom in order of priority AND if this board even exists at all) as the top-ranked recruit in the state of Kentucky and one of the last remaining in-state targets who haven’t already picked the Cats. Burton is an elite offensive lineman and UK will have to fend off outsiders like Ohio State and Alabama and Clemson (normal) to keep him home in Lexington.
Stoops is being helped in the recruitment by Burton’s own Douglass teammate, Dekel Crowdus, the four-star wide receiver who joined the Cats’ 2021 class earlier this month.
