There are 27 former Kentucky men’s basketball players on NBA opening day rosters.
This the 14th straight season that Kentucky has placed the most former players on NBA rosters to open a season.

LEXINGTON, Ky. – The 2025-26 NBA season tips off on Tuesday night and Kentucky men’s basketball continues its extensive presence with a nation-leading 27 players featured on opening day rosters across the league. It marks the 14th consecutive season in which Kentucky has set the benchmark for alumni in The Association.
The total of 27 players is based off the NBA’s official opening-day roster list and includes all two-way and inactive players.
