The ridiculous numbers behind Kentucky's 118-56 win over Carleton

Coming into the Bahamas trip, Carleton University was billed as Kentucky’s biggest competition. The Ravens have won 16 of the last 19 national championships in Canada and, in the past, have beaten NCAA teams like Wisconsin, Alabama, Memphis, Baylor, Vanderbilt, Ole Miss, and Cincinnati. Heck, Duke famously refused to play them on their Canadian summer tour in 2018.

Even though this Carleton squad is rebuilding and lost to Northeastern and Florida State in the last week, the hope was that they’d give Kentucky at least a little bit of a challenge. That was not the case. The Cats cruised to a 118-56 victory, led by Jacob Toppin and Antonio Reeves, who combined for 50 points, 30 of those coming beyond the arc.
