The Harlem Globetrotters want a seat at the NBA’s table of franchises

On Tuesday morning, one of basketball’s most recognizable names, the Harlem Globetrotters, announced that it is “ready to negotiate for a franchise” in the National Basketball Association. On Monday, the organization sent a letter to NBA commissioner Adam Silver encouraging him to make the Globetrotters an NBA franchise right now. Considering the NBA has been quietly contemplating for years about adding expansion teams in cities such as Seattle or Mexico City, the Globetrotters are now trying to find its own seat at the league’s table.

The world-famous Globetrotters have a solid argument for its inclusion, as well.
