Another Chicago-area native is hearing from the Kentucky Wildcats.
On Friday afternoon, multiple reports announced that Texas Tech’s 6-foot-6 junior guard, Terrence Shannon Jr., has put his name in the transfer portal. Not long after that, the Mac Irvin Fire tweeted out that Shannon has heard from the likes of UK, UConn, Illinois, and Michigan so far. Shannon played his high school basketball at Lincoln Park in Chicago, IL, and played AAU basketball for the Chicago-based Mac Irvin Fire, which was once coached by current Kentucky assistant Chin Coleman.
Texas Tech was knocked out of the 2022 NCAA Tournament on Thursday night in a 78-73 loss to Duke in the Sweet 16.
