Saturday will only be the third time Texas and Kentucky have played each other in basketball. The Cats beat the Longhorns 86-61 back in the 1993 Maui Invitational and 63-51 in the 2014 Big 12/SEC Challenge at Rupp Arena. Even though Kentucky is having a down year, Texas forward Kai Jones said he’s looking forward to playing in a historic venue like Rupp.
“I think the biggest thing for us is to stay true to who we are and be the best version of ourselves and play at our standard of basketball,” the sophomore from the Bahamas said.
