Tennessee spoils Kyra Elzy's return to her alma mater by beating Kentucky

Kyra Elzy has seen plenty of games in Thompson-Boling Arena.

She played for the University of Tennessee from 1996-2001 and won national championships in '97 and '98 under Hall of Fame coach Pat Summit.

Sunday marked the first game Elzy returned to her alma mater as a head coach, as her No. 12 Kentucky squad faced off against her former teammate and current UT head coach Kellie Harper and the Lady Vols.

No. 25 Tennessee ruined Elzy's return to her old stomping grounds as the home team won over the Wildcats 70-53.

Here's three takeaways from the game.
