Could AAU basketball be among the first sports to return to action amid the COVID-19 pandemic?
Starting next week, the AAU will evaluate re-opening events in certain areas of the country where it is deemed safe to do so.
“As of May 1st, the AAU will begin to evaluate lifting the temporary suspension of AAU events (in place since March 12th) in certain areas of the country,” AAU basketball said in a release. “This first phase of re-opening AAUA event programming will only apply to select locales where it has been deemed safe to do so.
