Suspended Kentucky football assistant coach pushes back against DUI, speeding charges

LEXINGTON — Kentucky football wide receivers coach Jovon Bouknight remains on unpaid suspension as the legal process stemming from his May arrest plays out.

"He’s suspended at this point in time, and we’ll update you at a later time," head coach Mark Stoops said when asked about Bouknight's status at a charity golf scramble Monday. "He’s been on unpaid suspension since the time it happened."

Bouknight was arrested at 2:30 a.m. on May 8 in Northern Kentucky on charges of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of drugs, alcohol, etc.; possession of an open alcohol beverage container in a motor vehicle and speeding 26 mph or more over the speed limit.
