Sunday Quickies: Back to Back Governor’s Cup Wins Edition

Yesterday was a rainy and cold day out at Kroger Field, but the Kentucky Wildcats behind Lynn Bowden, Chris Rodriguez, a dominating offensive line and a tough defense, handily defeated the Louisville Cardinals to keep the Governor’s Cup in Lexington with a 45-13 victory.

This is the first time the Cats have had consecutive victories in the rivalry since the four-year stretch from 2007-2010. Yesterday’s victory also gives Kentucky a victory over the Cards in three of the last four meetings and brings the all-time series to 17-15, favoring the team in Blue.
