Mark Stoops stepped in front of the microphone after Thursday’s practice for the last time before the Florida game, and he didn’t have a lot to say before he and his team go dark until Saturday’s kickoff.
“Getting anxious here to get going,” he said to start things off with the media. “It’s been a solid week of practice and getting anxious and getting ready to go. We’re putting the finishing touches on it here and we’ll be ready to go after tomorrow.”
Kentucky’s new starting quarterback, Sawyer Smith, is also ready to go. Stoops said Smith has “been good” and “been solid” while working with the first team all week.
