P.J. Dozier has decided to hire an agent and remain in the draft.
Dozier is projected as a second-round pick after averaging 13.9 points, 4.8 rebounds and 2.8 assists per game this past Final Four season. He is the No. 73 NBA prospect in Chad Ford’s top 100 on ESPN.com, while DraftExpress.com had him projected as the 38th pick in next year’s draft.
Dozier’s departure leaves South Carolina without three of its top scorers going into next season. Dozier would’ve been the leading returning scorer and the face of the team had he stayed for 2017-18.
