Mark Stoops is not looking for a new wide receivers coach.
Sources tell KSR’s Matt Jones that Jovon Bouknight will remain on UK’s coaching staff for the 2021 football season. The second year assistant was arrested May 8 in Northern Kentucky for speeding, possession of an open alcoholic container and operating a motor vehicle under the influence, his first offense. Bouknight is being disciplined internally.
Bouknight’s future at UK appeared to be in jeopardy earlier this year. Conflicting reports surfaced that Stoops was parting ways with the former Oregon assistant, before Bouknight was ultimately retained to lead UK’s pass-catchers.
