Sources tell KSR that Eastern HS (Louisville) power forward James Jewell will be taking an unofficial visit to Lexington for Big Blue Madness on October 11.
Known for his elite athleticism, length, and motor, the 6-foot-7 forward is considered one of the best up-and-coming prospects in the state and has separated himself early as the top Kentucky player in the class of 2022.
As a freshman playing varsity last year, Jewell averaged 3.6 points and 1.8 rebounds per game as a role player off the bench.
This spring and summer, though, the sophomore big man saw a major spike in his production with Manimal Elite (15U) on the adidas Gauntlet circuit.
