LEXINGTON – Shortly after being hired as Kentucky football’s new inside linebacker coach in February, Jon Sumrall made a house call to one of his new players.
Sophomore DeAndre Square, who was projected to take over the starting weakside linebacker job in the fall, was ill. Sumrall knew Square had lost some weight while battling a virus, but that did not make his first look at the Detroit native any less startling.
