Signing Day December 2021: What does Alex Afari of Lakota West bring to Kentucky football?

Colleges have had their eyes upon 6-foot-3-inch, 200-pound Alex Afari since scouting his older brother, David, now a running back for the Miami RedHawks.

David was a stellar Greater Miami Conference running back but is about four inches shorter than his younger brother. Alex Afari's frame plus his versatility helped him become a four-star recruit, according to 247Sports.com.

Afari made it official Wednesday, signing with the Kentucky Wildcats to play for coach Mark Stoops.

Listed as an "athlete," Afari is ranked 12th in Ohio and 15th in the nation among similar players.

A three-year varsity player, Afari did a little bit of everything for the 11-2 Firebirds this season.
