Kentucky only had eight scholarship players available, but that didn’t stop the Wildcats from destroying Howard 95-63 to open the 2022-23 regular season.

Antonio Reeves led the Wildcats (1-0) with 22 points off the bench. He was 6-for-12 from the three-point line. CJ Fredrick added 20 points and 3 assists. Cason Wallace flirted with a triple-double as he finished with 15 points, 8 rebounds and 9 assists.

Kentucky was without Oscar Tshiebwe (right knee), Sahvir Wheeler (right leg) and Daimion Collins (personal reasons).

The Wildcats return to action Friday night against Duquesne at Rupp Arena.
