Late Saturday evening, Louisville football signee Dexter Rentz was tragically shot and killed in a drive-by shooting in Orlando.
After learning of the devastating news, NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal – who lives in Orlando – reached out to the Rentz family to help pay for funeral expenses.
According to a report by ESPN, O’Neal will pay for all funeral expenses, “including a horse and carriage and custom-made casket.”
“Whatever his mom wants,” O’Neal told ESPN.
O’Neal reportedly saw the news report about the 18-year-old football star out of Ocoee High School and immediately did his research, watched Rentz’s highlights, and reached out to his family.
