The SEC is starting to play itself out. After a wild weekend, we now have a clear 1st-place team and a couple of teams whose playoff dreams were dashed.
First off, I had a lot more fun writing this update after last weekend. What I saw happen down in Knoxville puts a sour note on what had been a pretty good week for UK sports, with Kentucky’s men’s and women’s basketball teams winning their first two games of the year.
But that all crashed down in Knoxville, and with that loss and what happened around the league, the SEC chase is getting a lot clearer.
