The SEC announced on Tuesday it will postpone the start of volleyball, soccer and cross country competition through at least Aug. 31 amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
The delay in competition includes all exhibition and nonconference games.
How it impacts Kentucky's teams isn't known yet, because their schedules have not been shared publicly on the website. It will cut into their offseason competitions, though.
"The decision will provide additional time to prepare for the safe return of competition on an adjusted timeline," the league wrote in its release.
Any rescheduling on nonconference competition impacted by the delayed start will be determined by each school, the release said.
