Mountain Brook is a suburb just outside of Birmingham, Ala. and the event returns to the state after two years in Nashville. Prior to landing in Nashville the SEC Media Days for basketball took place in Charlotte and the last time it was in Alabama was in 2013.
I don’t really care where the SEC has its basketball media days, but why not just have it somewhere closer to Lexington? The majority of media members attending will be covering UK, so go on and throw those fine folks a bone.
There’s not the same fanfare for SEC Basketball Media Days as football, but all of the league’s power players will be in at the Grand Bohemian Hotel on October 17th/October 18th.
