There will be a familiar face on the opposing bench when Kentucky Basketball plays at Mississippi State later tonight.
Scott Padgett… the Scott Padgett… is a special assistant coach on Chris Jans’ first coaching staff in Starkville. Padgett is officially the Assistant To The Head Coach on the Bulldogs’ payroll, a non-bench coaching position similar to Bruiser Flint’s role on Kentucky’s staff.
Padgett took the job back in August before the current season began. He last coached at Manhattan under his friend and former Kentucky teammate, Steve Masiello; and before that, a year on the staff at New Mexico.
