Scott Co. upsets #3 Lex Cath, Knox Central knocks out #11 South Laurel, 15th Region Delivers

Scott County is back in the state tournament after losing 89% of their scoring from last year’s state runner-up team. Terrin Hamilton, the only returning player that played significant minutes last season, led the Cardinals to a 65-62 upset over #3 Lexington Catholic. He had 23 points, including a 3-pointer at the 3rd quarter horn. He also had 10 rebounds. Chase Grisby added 12 and Mikaleb Coffee had 10 points and played good defense on Lexington Catholic’s Ben Johnson.

The Knights went cold in the 2nd half and part of that was due to the Cardinals’ tenacious defense.
