In deciding on a landing spot for himself after requesting a transfer from Troy, UK’s new quarterback Sawyer Smith had some high praise for the up-and-coming program.
In an interview with Derek Terry over at the Cats Pause, Smith spoke about his decision to choose the Wildcats and the expectations he has for his final two seasons in college.
“I had opportunities to pretty much do whatever I wanted,” Smith said. “But this is one of the best opportunities I had.”
Smith left Troy after being named the MVP of the Dollar General Bowl (they just make up bowl games now, don’t they?
