LEXINGTON — Kentucky football's new running backs coach is already its former one.
Jemal Singleton, who was hired by UK coach Mark Stoops as running backs coach and special teams coordinator in January, is returning to the NFL with the Philadelphia Eagles. A UK spokeswoman could not confirm the news, but a source with knowledge of the situation did confirm the initial report from Kentucky Sports Radio to the Courier Journal.
Singleton came to UK from the Cincinnati Bengals where he coached in a similar offensive system to the one new UK offensive coordinator Liam Coen is planning to implement in Lexington.
