New Iona head coach Rick Pitino is calling for the NCAA to delay the college basketball season.
On Twitter, Pitino stated that the NCAA should delay the season until January and only play league games.
Suggestion to the NCAA, push the start of the season back to January and only play league games. Buy some more time for a vaccine and to get things under control. Although I can’t wait to be back on the sidelines, the health of my players and staff is what’s really important.

No official decisions have been made at this time, but rising coronavirus cases are certainly threatening sports in the near future, including football and basketball.
