Former Kentucky star Rhyne Howard won the WNBA’s first Rookie of the Month Award for the 2022 season on Wednesday.
Howard averaged 16.9 points and led all rookies with 1.5 steals per game during May.

ATLANTA, GA (June 1, 2022) – Atlanta Dream guard Rhyne Howard was named the Kia Rookie of the Month, the WNBA announced today. Howard averaged a team-high 16.9 points in her first month of her professional career, and led all rookies with 1.5 steals per game.
Howard, the No. 1 overall pick in the 2022 WNBA Draft, has taken the league by storm since her professional debut.
