On Wednesday afternoon, the WNBA announced that Atlanta Dream guard Rhyne Howard has been tabbed as the first Rookie of the Month for the 2022 season. The former Kentucky Wildcat averaged a team-high 16.9 points during her first month as a professional, leading the Dream to a surprising 5-3 start out of the gate. Howard is the franchise’s first Rookie of the Month winner since Brittney Sykes won in July and August of 2017.
