Kentucky football coach Mark Stoops said he is focusing on his own team, not speculation tying him to the opening at Florida State.
LEXINGTON - According to a report from 247Sports, Kentucky football coach Mark Stoops met with Florida State officials about their open coaching job in Cincinnati last week.
"Stoops interviewed for FSU’s head coaching position," Josh Newberg of 247Sports reported Saturday. "Stoops was not offered the job and we do not expect Stoops to meet with FSU officials again."
The report went on to state, "a source close to Stoops tells Noles247 that he does not consider himself a candidate for the job.
