Kentucky quarterback Amani Gilmore is set to explore his transfer options.
According to a report by Josh Edwards of 247Sports, the redshirt freshman out of Amite High School in Louisiana has entered the NCAA transfer portal.
Gilmore, considered the No. 39 pro-style quarterback in the 247Sports player rankings in the class of 2019, signed with Kentucky over an offer from Tennessee.
In his lone season in Lexington, Gilmore played just one game, earning late snaps in Kentucky’s blowout victory over Tennessee-Martin.
At the quarterback position, Lexington Catholic standout Beau Allen signed with UK in the class of 2020, with the Wildcats also adding Auburn transfer Joey Gatewood this offseason.
