In a triumphant return to Division I basketball, Billy Gillispie will be named the next head basketball coach at Tarleton State, according to a new report by KBTX Sports. The Tarleton State Texans announced the jump to Division I back in November, and they will be joining the Western Athletic Conference once basketball resumes.
The school is located in Stephenville, Texas, which is about an hour and a half’s drive from the heart of Dallas. Its undergraduate enrollment is listed at 13,266 students, as of the Fall 2019 semester.
