North Laurel High School guard Reed Sheppard debuted in the 247 Sports national rankings that came out Wednesday for the 2023 class.
Sheppard comes in as the 65th-ranked player and a three-star recruit. He is also joined in the rankings by Louisville Male’s Kaleb Glenn, a 6-6, 200-pound small forward ranked as the 44th-best player in the class, giving him the No. 1 player ranking in the state.
For what it’s worth, Sheppard is ranked higher than Dontaie Allen, Dominique Hawkins and Derek Willis were coming into college. Those are the last three Bluegrass products to play at Kentucky.
