After watching North Laurel star Reed Sheppard in person at an Adidas-sponsored grassroots basketball event in Hoover, Alabama, UK coach John Calipari extended a scholarship offer to the class of 2023 UK legacy recruit. Sheppard, the son of former Kentucky men’s basketball star Jeff Sheppard and UK women’s basketball star Stacey Reed, is not expected to make a final decision on his college choice for some time, but the Wildcats are now viewed as the heavy favorite to land his commitment.
