Quickies: MLB Cats Edition

The Kentucky baseball team missed the NCAA Tournament this year, but they’re not coming up short in the MLB Draft.

At the end of round 10, six former Wildcats had been selected.

Pitcher Sean Hjelle, outfielder Tristan Pompey, catcher/first baseman Kole Cottam, pitcher Zac Haake, utility player Luke Heyer and infielder Luke Becker have been drafted thus far.

Kentucky was one of just three schools to have that many players taken through the first 10 rounds. Wednesday is the final day of the draft. It has a whopping 30 rounds, all in one day.
