LEXINGTON – Jacksonville, Florida, quarterback trainer Denny Thompson makes no secret of his normal rooting allegiance.
He is an unabashed Florida fan, but for the next three years he will find his rooting interest conflicted for at least one Gators game every season. Thompson has trained former Auburn quarterback Joey Gatewood since his freshman year of high school, and now Gatewood is set to suit up for one of Florida's SEC East rivals.
Gatewood announced last week he is transferring to Kentucky.
