In-season transfers have been rare for Kentucky basketball in the John Calipari era.
But while Quade Green became just the second Wildcat to leave the team during a season in the last 10 years, his departure still follows a worrisome trend for Calipari and Kentucky basketball in the last five years.
Since the Wildcats’ last Final Four appearance in 2015, Kentucky has turned into a program where players stay no longer than two years regardless of their draft prospects.
