On Thursday evening, 2021 five-star guard Devin Askew announced his commitment to the University of Kentucky, choosing the Wildcats over Louisville, Memphis, and Arizona, among 16 total offers.
A Mater Dei High School standout, Askew is considered the No. 9 overall prospect on Rivals.com and the No. 10 recruit in the 2021 247Sports Composite Rankings.
Averaging 16.2 points, 5.8 rebounds, 6.0 assists, and 2.0 steals per contest for Team WhyNot during the Nike EYBL Peach Jam finals, along with shooting 46.2% from three during the regular season, it’s fairly well-known at this point that Askew is a knockdown shooter and all-around talent.
