PJ Washington in a walking boot for precautionary reasons

Rumors started swirling earlier today that PJ Washington had suffered a lower leg injury during the SEC Tournament.

Turns out, there is some truth to Washington having a minor foot injury, but it doesn’t sound serious.

According to UK, “PJ has been in a boot since Sunday for precautionary reasons. Any other updates we will have on site tomorrow in Jacksonville.”

Jon Hale of the Courier-Journal just spoke with Washington’s father, who offered a similar update:

Sophomore forward PJ Washington has been wearing a walking boot “for precautionary reasons” since Sunday, his father, Paul Washington, confirmed to the Courier Journal in a text message.
