Team USA remains unbeaten in the FIBA U19 World Cup.
In Tuesday’s 98-65 win over Italy, USA was led by PJ Washington with 20 points on 8-of-9 shooting, including several tough and-one finishes. He also chipped in four rebounds, two steals, one assist and a game-high +/- of 30.
While Washington thrived, Hamidou Diallo was held in check for the first time in FIBA play. Diallo went 1-of-6 in the first half as he struggled to finish around the rim, including a missed dunk that would have been a highlight-reel slam he connected.
Diallo finished the game with just five points on 2-of-9 shooting to go with four rebounds, three assists and no turnovers.
