Penn State Lied: Trace McSorley Did Not Break His Foot in the Citrus Bowl

The Nittany Lions’ star quarterback did not start the second half against Kentucky in the Citrus Bowl. Penn State officials revealed Trace McSorley would miss the rest of the game with a broken foot. As you might recall, McSorley did not miss the rest of the Citrus Bowl.

One series after Penn State issued the statement, McSorley re-entered the game and almost led the Nittany Lions to a comeback victory. Fourteen fourth quarter points in 4:30 quickly erased a 20-point Penn State deficit, until Josh Allen and Benny Snell refused to let McSorley be the hero.
